A red-haired mermaid, suspended mid-reach in crystal-clear teal resin, a jellyfish drifting beside her, a clownfish and a green tropical fish moving through the water around her. The rock formations on both sides form the walls of an underwater canyon, coral growing at the base, the whole scene enclosed in a diamond-cut resin form that catches the light from every facet and throws it outward. When the lamp comes on, the teal water deepens and the mermaid glows from within — the figure at the center of everything, reaching still.

This is a lamp for anyone who has ever felt more at home in water than on land.

Each lamp is made by hand in Hanoi, Vietnam. The mermaid figure, jellyfish, fish, and coral are positioned inside the diamond-form resin mold before the layers are poured around them — the mermaid placed mid-water so she exists between the rock floor and the surface above, exactly as the scene requires. The wood grain runs through the rock formations on both sides. Because every piece is handmade, the exact position of the mermaid, the color depth of the teal, and the light scatter from the cut edges are never identical. What arrives is the only one built exactly this way.
