Manatees are curious animals. When a scuba diver enters their water, they don't flee — they approach. They drift over, slow and unhurried, and just... look. It's one of the few moments in the ocean where a wild animal chooses to close the distance.

That moment is what this lamp holds still.

The diver and the manatees are suspended together in layers of hand-poured crystal-clear resin — caught mid-encounter, neither moving away, both existing in the same unhurried water. The natural wood beneath becomes the ocean floor when the light turns on. Blues and greens bleed through the resin. The whole scene glows from within like something that happened a long time ago and got preserved exactly as it was.

Each lamp is made by hand in Hanoi, Vietnam. The resin is poured slowly, one layer at a time, each one left to cure before the next is added — so the diver and the manatees exist at different depths, the way they actually would underwater. The wood is chosen for its grain, shaped, and sanded until the surface reads like sediment on the seafloor.

Because every piece is handmade, the exact position of the diver, the drift of the manatees, and the wood beneath are never the same twice. What you receive is the only one that looks exactly like this.
