The sharks are below. The divers are above. Nobody has noticed the other yet.

This lamp captures the exact moment before a dive becomes a story worth telling. Two divers move through the upper water from the right, unaware of the two sharks circling the reef below them. Between those two worlds: a sea turtle resting on the wood-formed cave ledge at the top left, colorful coral growing at the base on both sides, a shipwreck half-buried in the reef on the right floor. The natural wood cuts through the scene at the top, forming a cave ceiling the turtle has claimed. When the light comes on, the coral at the base glows in full color — orange, green, purple — while the water above stays deep blue and the sharks stay exactly where they are.

Every element in this scene exists at a different depth. The divers never touch the sharks' water. The turtle never moves from its ledge. The coral has been growing since before any of them arrived. That is how reefs actually work — layered, each creature in its own part of the column — and that is what this lamp holds still, permanently.

Each lamp is made by hand in Hanoi, Vietnam. The turtle, sharks, divers, coral, and shipwreck are positioned inside the diamond-form resin at different depths before the layers are poured around them. The natural wood is shaped to form the cave ceiling at the top, chosen for its grain, fitted into the resin so the edge between wood and water is raw and natural. Because every piece is handmade, the exact placement of each creature, the color of the reef, and the light scatter from the cut edges are never identical. What arrives is the only one built exactly this way.
