Whale sharks are the gentlest giants in the ocean — filter feeders who drift through warm water with no agenda, no urgency. The turtle beside them has been doing the same thing for a hundred million years. There's something deeply calming about animals that large, moving that slowly, through water that clear.
That's exactly what this lamp captures.
The whale sharks and turtle are suspended in layers of hand-poured crystal-clear resin — not flat, not printed, but built upward layer by layer until they exist at different depths, the way they actually would in open water. The natural wood beneath becomes the ocean floor when the light comes on. The whole scene glows from within.
Each lamp is made by hand in Hanoi, Vietnam. The wood is chosen, shaped, and sanded until smooth. The resin is mixed and poured slowly — each layer left to cure before the next — until the ocean has the depth it deserves. No shortcuts, no machines doing the detail work.
Because every piece is handmade, the exact placement of the sharks, the angle of the turtle, and the wood grain beneath are never identical. The lamp you receive exists once.
